Elkhart Team Youth Challenge Scholarship Tournament

Sunday, May 23, 2010. Check-in starts at 9 am Eastern time. Tournament competition starts at 10 am Eastern time.

Tournament is limited to 32 teams. $1000 first place based on 20 teams.

ENTRY FEE IS $200 per team ($40 per person)

This tournament is based on the adult Elkhart Team Challenge tournament. This is a 5 person team event that is handicapped based on a 1050 team average.

There are 3 rounds of tournament competition.

1st Round
All teams bowl 3 actual game with the right lane skipping 1 or 2 pairs to the right and left lane skipping 1 or 2 pairs to the left after each game. The field is then cut to the top 6 to 8 teams. (Number of teams that make the cut is based on number of entries.)

2nd Round
Scores will be dropped after the 1st round. Each remaining team will bowl 8 games of round-robin, head-to-head Baker competition. The 8th game will be a position round. Each match the
winning team is awarded 20 bonus pins.

3rd Round
The top 3 teams will advance to the stepladder finals. All scores are dropped again at this point. The 3rd seed bowls the 2nd seed two games, one on each lane with the total pinfall deciding the championship paring. That team will then bowl 2 games against the 1st place seed with total pinfall deciding the champion.

Brackets and high game pots also available. All side pots returned 100% in scholarships.

Country Club Lanes Youth Scholarship Tournament

This tournament is for certified youth bowlers 19 and under. There are 2 handicap divisions and a scratch division. Use last years final average or 2009-2010 average of 21 games or more. After bowling 12 games you will establish a tournament average. (Stepladder finals do not count toward tournament average.)

Division A = Scratch = 191+ avg., Division B = 161-190, Division C = up to 160.

Format is 6 games across 12 lanes with a short break after 3 games. Top 5 from each divison bowl stepladder finals. Depending on number of entries, top 5 earn scholarships. There is also a $5 blind doubles side pot. 100% is returned in scholarships. All winnings are USBC SMART.

Check in starts at 9 a.m. Eastern Time. Competition starts at 10 a.m. Eastern time.

Entry Fee - $25
($10 lineage, $15 scholarships)

June 6, 2010 - Singles Tournament (Just like all the rest)

About Country Club Lanes

We offer 32 wood lanes with Mendes automatic scoring, snack bar and pro shop. Opened in 1954 with 12 lanes. In 1960, 20 more lanes were added. There is 22 ft of Guardian on the lanes.

Our house pattern is 42 ft. and very scorable. As of 10/15/09 we have had 7 300 games, an 811 and 806 series.
